The flying checkpoint didn't work, did it? We've seen the situation in Afghanistan completely fuck up since this news report.
Wars can't be won by tactics alone.

They do it in Black Hawk Down.

oh wait they did have a target in front of them I'll let them off this once.I still see fools running like that when no threat has been identified.

Well anyone who uses the high ready or teaches it is a prick because the UK special forces dont do it.It would take just as long to spin the rifle through 90 degress to engage a threat on the flank as it would to raise the weapon from a traditional holdig stance. The only use a technique like that has is if your running and covering a target you've seen and it's in front of you,not just whilst your running around.

@killerclown789, in case you haven't caught the pipeline it pretty much goes:
Army Basic Training -> AIT (job-specific school) -> Airborne (Air Assault optional) - > unit -> SF schools. SEALs are a SOF go through an entirely different pipeline starting in the Navy. Marines have their own branch and their own special operations forces (SOF) / SOF-capable units. There is a difference between SOF and SF. SF are specifically the Green Berets, and SOF includes things like PSYOPS, Rangers, and CA
this dudes voice makes me wana punch him.

That's not true . The army navy etc have their own selection course. There is no build up from one to the other . Its all about what branch of service your in
