1989 The Punisher is an pure action movie. 2004 punisher is lame!

The Punisher (1989) was the best and most realistic. Dolph Lundgren himself, showed brilliant acting and looked awesome especially when you compare him to artificial Jane
-
aw, he can cry big manly tears if he wants. But in a fight between Lundgren n Jane, Lundgren would win.
-
@87wardog he does but he is hiding it
-
@8Long6AndAHalfAround Dolph Lundgren did wear the skull but he was hiding it but other than that I agree
-
@8Long6AndAHalfAround he also even threatens the mob boss's kid, warnin him to grow up to be a good man, or else he'll be "punished".... so in my opinion Stevenson's is the most accurate in term of physical resemblance, and origin. Jane's is the most accurate in terms of voice tone, and clothes. and Lundgren's Frank Castle is the most accurate in terms of personality, and violent world.
-
@8Long6AndAHalfAround Lundgren's Frank Castle/Punisher was just fuckin crazy, and didnt give shit about anythin other than "punishing the guilty".... he embodies the spirit of Frank Castle from the comics. He shows very little emotion (even to those around him), and his mission is to kill as many evil people as possible...with no end in sight... hes willing to kill both men and women...
-
although Lundgren's Frank Castle doesnt wear the skull, and his origin was slightly different from the comics... his movie was the most believable and most violent, without it seemin too cartoony. the 1989 Punisher movie had a serious tone to its characters and situations, and had the most action scenes too. theres hardly any comic-relief, if any, in that movie. the Punisher in that movie just keeps goin and goin, with no end to his madness.
-
Jane's Castle was great, but there was too much emotion in his character, and the movie had tongue in cheek points, the story felt dragged and was boring at times... Jane's felt like the comic book, but he seemed too caring at times, and he also comes off abit of a "superhero" at the end with his monologue.

Stevenson physically looks like the modern comic book Frank Castle/Punisher, but his Punisher doesnt come off thretening and the Villains in that movie were too cartoony. War Zone was the most violent of the movies, but the villains and violence were too cartoony. Stevenson's Punisher Castle felt like your typical superhero movie.
oo come on somebody tell me what is the name of this clip ? pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I like all of the Punisher films but War Zone is my favorite. While not exactly true, it is the closest to the comics and is just a fun gory action film.

Yeah, it's not too dissimilar from the MAX comics, which are AWESOME!

The winner would actually be the original punisher.....CHARLES BRONSON!! Hey if they made another punisher game, they should have charles bronsons 3-D imaged face put on the punisher and the game should be called PUNISHER: DEATH WISH

Because Bronson wasn't a super trained killer, I'd say he's actually a bit more bad-ass. But yeah, he's totally the prototype.
