It's great to see Airgun shooting reported so positively in the mainstream media. It's a shame pubs down South do not have bell target shooting. Perhaps a few pubs in the capital would be a good thing!

Well done the Walton Lions - this must be the FIRST POSITIVE airgun story the BBC has run in ages! Congratulations on getting air rifle shooting promoted to the general public so well. A really balanced and enthusiastic report by BBC Midlands. I've posted it on Airgun Shooter and AirgunTV FaceBook and Twitter pages. Great to see it still going. I used to shoot in the Birmingham & District League in the seventies and eighties with an Original 66, 75 then Walther LGR Match Universl. Great to see it still going, thanks

@Weslake500 Only used to: Come look us up at waltionlions.co.uk. Who did you shoot for never know they may still be going and still many a familiar face still around. We have shooter in there 70s.

Walton Lions Air Rifle Club would like to thank everyone who made the evening possible and a great success. Also to the people who came, plus the local gun shops with stands. To the BBC not least.. Walton Lions ARC will be about at shows during the coming year details on their website. waltonlions.co.uk. We can offer ranges at 10m and 6yd Bell Target. We are still looking for shows to attend (fully insured). If you are interested in having a go at the original Air Gun sport we welcome visitors.
