hah, i really doubt she'd been drinking, she puts on that "funny persona" where she sounds a bit tipsy just to be funny (and it sure is)
Watch her acceptance speech for...Golden Globes i think? She says "You know sometimes I myself think i'm overrated....But not todayyyyyy"

She is not tipsy at all...if she had been, the line about "the seats" would not have come so easily, or well-timed. Meryl is a trip--dignified most of the time, but hey, when she recognizes the need to---pee--she can play tipsy and say whatever she wants to, and pull it off...priceless--thank you for posting!

No, really, Meryl is the goddess! What else? She's so magnificent, and yet so normal... She's really the best, the smartest... everything in superlative form...public person! I think there's no person who saw her life & work that can say she's not the best and that doesn't love her!
