@strazzy3 Because the American public of today is used to haveing spectacular muzzle flashes from a wide variety of weapons. If you had a movie that contained very realistic muzzleflashes, you wouldn't like it as much becuase ypou are used to the other way.

Directors understand this, so they add muzzle flashes in post.

@strazzy3 Its in the daytime, which usually drowns out the intense light a bit, and sometimes in movies, they can use special ammunition that nto only are blanks, but have special power mixtures to create much more intense heat and inturn, better flashes. Also, a bit of post editing color correction helps a little. Watch some of the raw footage from say, Little Bohemia. The muzzleflashes there were all legit

Now, the following question is as old as time, lol XD: "How come when guns are fired in the actual movie there is always a spectacular muzzle flash, but when during technical practicing, (like they are doing now), there ain't NO spectacular muzzle flash WHATSOEVER....................­.......!!!"
