Would an official DS camera look opened like that? Would an official camera be that huge, blocking the top part? Would an official camera have a link to "dev-scene" in the description, and "nintendo ds hacker site" below it?

No its not fake. it is running a specile homemade program on the flash card in the gba slot and using a DS serial with a camera attached to it. i have done something like this, so do some research before you speak.

I've seen somebody make there DS into a robot with camera, it won a modding contest, so I think this is possible. Plus simple look at the way the screen reflects to bottom screen, anybody going out to make something fake like that wouldn't bother to make perfect reflections

no, it's fake. I own a DS and the passkey and M3. I'm pretty sure everyone said it's impossible to do in a homebrew program. Plus if it were real then the creater would have shown it off a lot more.

There's nothing fake about it. The DS can run homebrew code. It's trivial for someone who knows electronics to build a prototype/test PCB with those components and write software to display the input. Either the components or the software is limiting the refresh rate, which can be easily improved with some revisions.

How do you know its fake?

It does seem like it could be possible. I love the idea of future Voice and Video chate via DS Opera that would be very slick.

I am sure if required Nintendo could make and release one. I am also sure you could release this as a 3rd party device if it worked.

The refresh rate was terrible but then again if its poorly written or test software thats acceptable.

    More info required.
