I got the news when watching a Kabane video. I can't believe it, but then again, I suppose I can believe it in a way.

To be technically correct the sun and earth revolve around their common center of gravity but since the sun is so much bigger it is located actually inside of the sun

For most of the earth's existence people believed that sun went around the earth, it's only recently that heliocentric came around. There isn't anything that can prove the sun is the center more than the earth is the center, from a scientific standpoint. Even Einstein agreed with that.

@cre8ivmind ...no, it's not a fact. See my other comment. In any closed system, any point can be used as a fixed reference point and no laws of physics are violated. So the earth can be thought of as stationary and the universe revolving around it in a spiral up/down pattern. It makes no difference physics wise. On the other hand, why does the earth not leave particles in it's wake (if it orbits) like comets? Do not say gravity, it's too weak a force.

We have all been indoctrinated with the copernican view. Truth is, Copernicus had zero proof of his concept. Check with NASA. NASA uses calculations for all launches based on a stationary earth model. Satellites too. Physicists will tell you that the universe is finite...a closed system...and in ANY closed system, ANY point (the earth) can be used as a fixed reference point and no laws of physics are violated. So one can imagine the earth does not move and be just as correct as anyone else.

Gravity is determined by mass, not density (mass/volume). Do you have any idea how massive the sun is? The gravity well is immense relative to the size of our solar system; even Jupiter pales in comparison.

I can't believe nobody's brought up to that geocentrist idiot the obvious evidence for a rotating earth: the fact that hurricanes spin. Look at tornadoes too, which spin in opposite directions depending on your hemosphere. Hell, look at water spiral down the drain! It spirals in the opposite direction depending on which hemoshere it's in!

That's what scientists are for, to learn things about the universe. Yes, it HAS been proven hat the Earth rotates and we even have video of it rotating...LOTS of video.

The theory of relativity is rubbish. Yes, that's right. How is the cosmological paradigm of relativity used for consumer products? GPS's do not need relativity. Please explain what you mean..

what about the Chandra and Compton space telescope? Wouldn't those telescopes burn up on there travel into the solar system if they were to pass the sun? even if the sun were a red dwarf.... How would there be phases of the moon and Venus? If there is no tilt of the earth wouldn't there be no polar ice caps? explain to me the theory of gravity.

Yes, the moon would seemingly 'hang' there in the sky (due to speed), while the earth spins ccw, but the spinning motion is assumed, not proven. My point is, WYSIWYG. The Earth is motionless, while the celestial bodies orbit the earth, which is in the center of the finite universe. Planets do seem to orbit the sun, but the sun orbits the Earth, as does the moon. There is no tilt of the Earth, and no spin of any kind.

I am sure you are aware that there is more than one theory of gravity, right?

the moon travels counter-clockwise around the earth. It is the relatively rapid daily spin of the earth from west to east that causes the apparent motion. The moon takes a whole month to orbit earth; in that time 27+ days have gone by on earth.... Also the Earth is not large enough to hold the sun in an orbit around it.
