There were two people who diseased in this accident, the pilot and a man who had just gotten married - it was his first time in a helicopter btw. One engine didn't want to kick in and rather than stop the climb the pilot thought he'd try to force it up in the air by moving forward. Without the thrust from the second engine the helicopter wasn't strong enough to get airborn ("hovering" does not equal airborn). Then they hit a light pole and thus the helicopter and the two inside all died.
