@ddanze a lot of it has to do with the microphone on the camera. Wish this was mic'ed directly from the guitar it's self and not amplified. As guitarists we certainly do have to always be cognizant of our sound. Also, the prewar guitars of this era of ragtime picking would have been even tinny-er. Hard to me to get into that much treble as well. Take care and keep listening to them oldies
Technically sophisticated and if guitar playing were a race, he would win. Sounds like he is in a hurry. I prefer a little more soul, feeling and cleaner playing.

Thats great sounding blues! These are the kinds of ragtimes I should learn. A refreshing change from conventional turn arounds.

Lovely! Shut your eyes, how many guitars can you hear? I found Van Duser's book years ago and it changed my life. This is a great arrangement.
