Mini Steam Turbine Spooling Up

Fantastic Model Karsten Gintschel direct drive steam turbine power plant. The micro dynamo on the back of the turbine is turning at the full speed of the turbine. Watch as the lights get brighter and brighter as the turbine spools up. These little lamps put out a tremendous amount of light, for such a tiny turbine and generator.

This model was made by Karsten Gintschel, in Germany. I bought it from an engineer, in Los Angeles, who had tweaked it up a bit. Good luck, finding one like it.

I believe they are 5mm, fully diffused, pure white, LEDs.

Certainly, once the pitch of the turbine gets high enough, the camera cannot properly record it.

that's surely a rankine engine( not fully a rankine but likely to be that way) and I'm wondering where is the exhaust tube for vapor comes out...after it enters the mini turbine?

you could focus a parabolic reflector or a fresnel mirror onto the boiler then you would not need to waste natural gas.
