The film is based on the second book from the Adventures of Erast Petrovich Fandorin series of novels written by the Russian author Boris Akunin. A Russian James Bond in the 19th century.

  • I think the real power which neutralized the Turkish threat and changed the world was Germans, not Russians. Turkish-German Wars were at our strongest time. However, Russians mostly won against a much weaker Ottoman Empire.

  • @byiskender1 The fact is that Turks lost in General. Bulgaria and Serbia got their independence. If it wasn't for Russian help, God knows how the World would look today.
