just as staniec says. when the engine is cold you have to use the kickstart. some says that it helps if you use a electric starter from honda and some says that you should have two batteries connected, but only to the electric starter or you will burn the electric system and all components. i had a husaberg FE600 ine year ago.. and i loved it. tomorrow i will buy a Husaberg 501 -02 instead. so i am reading everything that has to do with the bike.
Mu Berg FS650 is doing this....it sounds like the starter is not engaging at all. I took it off and tried a battery on it and it spools up. Put the starter back in and it sounds like it's just not engaging...like a stripped starter. I'm now stumped, please advise!

This is normal when your berg is cold...
You need use kickstarter and then start by your electric starter.
Remember - read your manual owners :-)
