I installed a new pickup (Burstbucker 1), which is designed to be a PAF replica of the 57 Humbucker. The guitar is a Custom Shop Custom order Les Paul with 24 frets on an Ebony fingerboard. The bridge pickup is a Dirty Fingers, and the miniswitch is for the Fishman Powerbridge which was installed by Gibson at construction. The knob configuration is: Three Volume one tone. Each Pickup, including the powerbridge has its own volume. I am just noodling around to get some idea of the tones.

  • The camera used is a Canon 5D MK II

  • @chrismotlach92: it's the only LP to come out of the custom shop with this configuration.... One of one, ordered to my specific specs with a Fishman bridge, 24 frets, and triple binding front and back on a standard scale body.

  • @wyldefan716: actually I use the 24th quite a lot and it isn't difficult to find my way there... It is by far the most versatile guitar I have ever owned.

  • Yes, I am @ MLP... You may have seen my LP there.

  • How much did that cost its beautiful! :)

  • @Musicmanuk94 Quite a lot, it is the only one made thus far with this scale and configuration... 1 of 1 from custom shop. I don't like to give the amount I paid because it locks in a value, and it's really worth what others are willing to pay to have it.... Although, it's not for sale... Thank you for the kudos!

  • Your playing is fucking beautiful.

  • IMHO, dude. The gibson 57 classic is modeled after the first humbucker that was made in 1955. The burstbuckers were born in 1958 were the wind machines wound the coils with different turn counts thus giving them the slight edge bite. And the have an airy open sound because the are not wax potted. The 57'classic has even winds giving them a creamy even tone. I love them both. Rock on.

  • @barnettdaniel what cammera are you using

  • the electronics had to be set lower for the top 2 frets, correct?

  • It's a beautiful guitar man! It looks like it would be hard to play up near the last few frets though. It sounds lovely. You don't seem very confident in you playing but keep up the good work!

  • access to the 24th isn't very outstanding is it? it is a beautiful guitar

  • nice playing

    sexy guitar
