"This Is A Prayer For Everybody To Be Free" is Track 2 of THE REVOLUTION WILL BE JAZZ, an album released in July of 2011 by Savant Records and produced by Mark Ruffin. It features the distinct sound of internationally renowned jazz vocalist, Giacomo Gates, interpreting the songs of Gil Scott-Heron. This album was recorded at Jazz at Lincoln Center, NYC, in November of 2010 and would have been handed to Gil as a gift. Unfortunately, Gil Scott-Heron passed away unexpectedly in May of 2011, just as the album was going to press.
