'SIMPLY JESUS: A New Vision of Who He Was, What He Did, and Why He Matters' a new book by N. T. Wright. N. T. Wright invokes 200 years of Biblical scholarship to show us how we should best retell the story of Jesus today. For believers confronting the challenge of connecting with their faith today, Wright offers a provocative new picture of how to understand who Jesus was and how we should relate to him today.

I don't know what it is about this guy but...........

Every time i hear him talk, it seems like deep inside me i feel he is correct on many things.

Especially on the subject of Jesus, and the kingdom mind set. Most Christians are missing. Not that it's a salvation Issue, but it seems like a key to the future of Christianity.

Yes. It's like Francis Schaeffer (of blessed memory) used to say: we've heard the Jesus story over and over again so many times, with our own prejudiced set of post-Christian headphones on, that we can't really hear it at all. Schaeffer suggested that we "smash the record" (or the CD, if you will), and Wright gives us a "remixed" CD and new headphones so we can hear the gospel as brand new.
