Jun 3 - President Barack Obama arrives in Saudi Arabia at the start of a diplomatic foray intended to repair

America's damaged image with the Islamic world.

Obama was welcomed by King Abdullah as they began talks which are expected to touch on the Arab-Israeli

conflict, U.S. overtures to Iran and the price of oil.

Obama will spend the night at the Saudi king's farm before heading on to Cairo for a much-heralded speech to

the Islamic world, which will fulfil a promise he made during the election campaign last year to deliver an

address from a Muslim capital early in his administration
