  • You deleted my comment. Why don't you listen to reason? You refuse to see simple truths.

You are wasting peoples time distracting them from the real issue. You are a jerk.

  • My bad I was trying to reply but I hit remove. Sorry that you feel that way. We're trying to have a dialogue about the state of the voting system and it seems to be working, thanks to your comments and others. -Jacob

  • Mr. "Why Tuesday" You must be kidding. I've seen two of your videos and I suspect you are off your rocker. You are probably one of those people who don't understand that it's the voter turnout issue that is the problem and it's the media's fault as well as the federal government that is part of it. Are you seriously that ignorant to think it's the day? People feel hopeless and the federal election system and the media are the ones at fault. Burger King is hiring.

  • We don't just think it's the day -- it's the way AND day we vote that contributes to America's low participation -- and the fact that problems with the system increase voter apathy. So, no, we're not kidding. But in some measure you're right too. And I love Burger King. -Jacob

  • buisy is not the reason... "Lazy" is more like it. We do have a choice to make our voices heard. And yes the sheeple are too preoccupied with little nuances that are happening everyday in the world like sports and a multitude of other inane distractions.

  • obama is such a class act!

  • looks like the US will have a wog as president.

  • So your argument is that if it was easier to vote, the candidates still wouldn't suck as bad? The bias of the media to the highest bidder would go away? It would be easier to run for president? I will grant you that people probably genuinely have no problem picking the lesser of two evils and standing by that person until its time to vote, but even if we physically forced all people to vote it wouldn't mean our elected officials would be chosen for the right reasons.

  • Thank you 141BlackDoggie. I just watched that as well. That man is someone I've been watching for some time now. He was the one who initially encouraged me to start a youtube account or profile or something so I was able to hear more of his message and spread it to my friends and family members.

  • Then please stop distracting people with false anecdotal messages. What you are doing is causing more harm than good. Your interest seems to be more geared to yourself and your status than truly doing anything worthwhile. This is a child game to you, isn't it?

The media is to blame. What about that do you not understand? I find your message repulsive. It sickens and saddens me that you don't look at the facts. Double minded devil.

  • There is nothing wrong with expanding the time to vote. Simple.. allow more time to vote. All Laws can be reviewed and challenged. Women wouldn't be able to vote at all and in the south black people would still have to pay a "Poll tax" half a weeks salary before 1965 just to register.. When White males just signed up with no extra anything. that was 43 years ago. some of your grandparent remember that.

  • If I wasn't going to vote it would be because the media and even non-profit organizations such as this one, only focus on the dems and republicans. I'm not voting if it means choosing between only McCain and Obama. They are going to side step these questions like every other issue until it becomes accessible to attack their opponent. The democrats are protecting Obama from Nader and McCain pretty much fucked himself with Palin. And I think people need to realize it's not a black man vs. a woman.

  • I'm sick of the dialogue.

Too many questions and not enough ANSWERS!

If you are going to try to convince me that only 25 million people don't vote because they are too busy, you are out of your mind. Your daddy should have run for public office so you would know more about politics.

Only people who are democrats would censor comments. You act no better than Tipper Gore.

  • No, the #1 reason people give is "too busy" -- and there's a whole list of other reasons. But "too busy" is the one that is given most. Check it out for yourself on the Census website. -Jacob
