He travelled the planet from Spain via Strasbourg to Swindon for Supercar Showdown and His aim are simple - find the ultimate Supercar. He starts a fight between a prancing horse and a raging bull as topless versions of the Ferrari 430 and Lamborghini Gallardo slug it out. The Gallardos big cousin, the Murcielago, weighs in too. The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano struts its stuff and Audis R8 faces up to the Porsche GT3 as his special guest, Nurburgring-know-all Sabine Schmitz takes on The Stig. He turn into a Formula 1 hero thanks to a Radical SR3. And He had a fantastic time in the Aston Martin Vantage V8 Roadster. Plus theres a new kid on the block in the shape of the stunning Ascari A10. And the line-up would not be complete without the 1000 horsepower, 252 miles per hour Bugatti Veyron. So He blast off in one of those too.

  • I love how he said the R8, never will have the gallardo's v10, yet low and behold the R8 V10 does.

  • Sabine sure gave the Stig a run for his money. :)

  • I gonna slow down on purpose

  • blehh Stig let her pass him so obviously only for show...

  • @Portaleer Haha, i was joking =P, but yes i wanted the R8 to whoop the 911, and i'd have it any day over the porsche, and you cant help but appreciate what a great driver sabine is and how she cant help but have a little fun doing it =D

  • @peeps2142 Sorry to burst the imaginary bubble but the Porsche 911 is "LESS" aerodynamic. With minus a mirror, there is wind resistance on one side and none on the other. That's not symmetry. PLUS, to top it off, the R8's build all together is sleeker in design than the 911's. Yes, I'm in favor of the R8 but it's factual as well. I know you know that if the R8 never went off the track it would have won fair and square. You just don't want to admit it. XD

  • It wasn't fair. The porsche was more aerodynamic; it had one less side mirror XD

  • @TheWatzitooya In fact all of these engines are variations of one and the same. It was first used in the RS6, then in the Gallardo LP 560-4, then in the R8 5.2 FSI. So by seeing it as an engine that was also used in a Lamborghini you could say that the R8 has a Lambo V10.

  • @Trynitus I've got a question. Ok, so the LP560 has an Audi V10. I've heard from a lot of places that the R8 has a Lamborghini V10. Was that in an R8 that came after the V8, but before the LP560?

  • And she sounds so damn annoying. When Clarkson mocks somebody, it's entertaining. When Schmitz talks, she's more annoying than the kid that keeps kicking you from behind in planes

  • Sabine Schmitz is so cocky. I mean, drifting while racing the Stig? Seriously? The dude is faster round a track than a bunch of F1 drivers

  • @onishchuk4 what he meant to say was that the r8 will never be as powerful as the gallardo. thats why he said it will never have the gallardo's engine. but although it does now, its still not as powerful as the gallardo. so he was some what true.
