Sublime is indeed the word! Such is the sheer pristine beauty and power in this song that I actually like it better than the other famous rain song ('Tip tip barsa pani' from Mohra, in which Raveena Tandon wraps herself around Akshay Kumar in much the same way!)
RDB has done an outstanding job with the music, and Lata and Kishore are, as usual, unbeatable.
What a pity the current crop of lyricists and composers aren't a patch on the masters of yore!
Many thanks for posting this song!

PART 2
ANAND BAKSHI's lyrics were the common man's words, straight from the heart.
His lyrics were custom made for Lakshmikant Pyarelal and R D Burman, two music directors with vastly contrasting styles, yet similar beats sometimes. He also penned lyrics for the greats - Roshan, Shankar Jaikishan, Kalyanji Anandji and other top composers.
Hope these lines have touched some who appreciate the beauty and the simplicity of ANAND BAKSHI'S lyrics.
Xectly PURE MAGIC.

Though the film was damp squib, this song came out as sure winner from RDB's creations. Anybody know the year of the movie's (Jaise Ko Taisa) release?

Yes...this film was not a great success at the BOXOFFICE..( Just cost recovering only )But this song particularly was very fresh and melodious. Reena Roy looked so seducative and beautiful. This Film JAISE KO TAISA ( an AVM production ) was relesed in 1973.

Thank u kishordaman for liking the song and appriciating my efforts. And you said so rightly that the bygone era had what today we lack totally. This is one of the BEST RAIN songs i have ever come across. I place "Bheegi Bheegi Raton Mein...(from the film Ajnabi : Rajesh Khanna-Zeenat Aman) at the top.....the haye haye yeh majboori is also great.....Ahhhhh godd old days !!! where they have vanished ??? I miss them too much !!!!
Thanx once again, man !!! God Bless You !
