I used to get the train to school when i was little and he would sometimes be on it going to edinburgh. He never spoke to anyone but he used to smile at me every morning :) I was to young at the beginning to know who he was but i always smiled up at him in awe like he was some kind of pale angel. And discovering his music now im older and now he's gone i now realise he was xxx

and Love this song :-)

This is vocally phenomenal; when he comes down through the octaves you can't hear any break in his voice at all; technically it should almost not be possible.

Out of the many many many best things to come out of Scotland musically.Alan Rankine had left by this point and apart from this track i was somewhat dissapointed by this Lp partly as it didnt have the same extraordinary production values as Sulk.

@stereoloov I've always considered Perhaps a deeply flawed record. I've tried hard to like it but although there are some very good songs on it, overall it feels messy & lacking in direction. It also sounds for the most part, very much of its time which is to say dated. I think I probably feared the worst from the very 1st time I saw the cover. Billy's stylist really did him no favours! Of course following up the peerless Sulk was never going to be easy but this was never an Associates album.
Can anyone tell me whether the high pitched singing at the end is Billy or a female backing singer?

@Elvycards
It is Billy himself.
