Yesterday Standard and Poor came out and downgraded 9 European nations. This sent money pouring into the US dollar. US treasury bond prices continued to rally, and the United States government can continue to borrow for ten years at less than 2 percent.

I wonder what the real GDP is, the inflation, unemployment, and all other statistic, I'm missing a European John Williams.

@kev492001 I live in Poland. Our national debt is about 55% of GDP by official measures, while real number is about 200-250% (with social security and other items that are excluded). Furthermore we have a lot of districts that are in debt (most of them I think).

Also our government is compounding the problem by adding more debt and raising taxes (even when an average guy pays well above 50% of his income in taxes).

EU will collapse, because most of the members are in similar situation.

I wonder how much debt Europe has in their smaller states, and cities within their countries?? I also think they would have to have hidden debt that people don't count like what is going on in the US.
