@BadassCeino The pest isn't native and is completely rampant. Invasive species are dangerous to the ecosystem they're invading because they attack some of the native species that have no defense against them. If you can't understand that, then there is no hope for you.

The hemlock tree described in this video is the Canadian or eastern hemlock. Plant taxonomy classifies Canadian hemlock trees as Tsuga canadensis. The poison that famously killed Greek philosopher Socrates was not derived from this tree. Poison hemlock is Conium maculatum.

@MrLockedinabox Sometimes there are benefits that humans can gain from even the most deadliest creatures. For example the poison from the Irukandji Jellyfish is used to create Botox. Just because we haven't discovered a good use for Hemlock yet doesn't mean we should get rid of it. What if some part of the plant can be used to cure cancer or some other terrible disease in the future? Killing off species is never a good idea.

I have a bunch of hemlocks and I think I found a cure LICHEN . Lichen is ugly but I think its working.
