A fast process of me making different types of glasses to export to second life as sculpt maps.

When I made this video I didn't know if they'd work or not, and they did - so I was happy at that.

  • hey, i have tried doing this but every time i upload the map i have a cut in the glass where the 2 isoparms on the model in maya meet...

any ideas as to why maybe??

  • @fulmetalmage try changing the solver on the editor in second life to torus, you're probably using plane

  • @fogglee thanks dude, i figured out that the bmp's were rotated the wrong way. but knowing about solvers is an added bonus :)

  • @fulmetalmage np, checking the box in Maya that say something like "correct orientation" should fix that too

  • what exporter do you use ?

  • @oaxao i'll be making a tutorial on how to do this very soon, but for now i might as well help - try second life portal website, it helped me alot
