Fibroid is the commonest benign tumor of the uterus arising from the uterine wall (myometrium). It contains smooth muscles and fibrous connective tissue. It is estrogen dependent tumor.
•Intramural - in the wall of the uterus
•Subserous - in the outer wall of the uterus
•Submucous - in the muscle beneath the uterine lining. removed by hysteroscopically.
•Cervical - growing in the cervix
