Aquatic invasive Zebra and Quagga mussels are a serious threat to the Northwest Region. Though they are not here yet, they are periodically found attached watercrafts at inspection stations. To help prevent their spread to the Northwest Region, the 100th Meridian Initiative's Columbia River Basin Team has begun conducting training sessions in the classroom and in the field to train divers on how to spot these tiny but dangerous mussels. This training will help prepare divers for an invasive mussel emergency, but you can help as well. In this video you can learn more about this serious threat and what you can do to help.
