Dave Reichert Campaign Spot

I created this for my high school's government class.

The assignment was to assume the role of an campaign advertisement manager and create a radio advertisement and a television advertisement for the candidate we represented. It was required that one of our ads put the opponent in a negative light.

My group had been assigned Dave Reichert, so my task was to create an ad attempting to slander Darcy Burner (Which was difficult for me because I agree with what she represents.)

I'm sorry that some people took this video so seriously - and that is partially my fault for not clearing this up sooner :)

Reichert's a loser. He couldn't catch the green river killer for 20 years and when someone else finally did catch him, he puts on some false bravado bullshit speech he'd been rehearsing for 20 years when he confronted Ridgeway in the holding cell.

I liked him but he sealed his fate when he voted for the Cap and Trade disaster. He was one of only 8 republicans that ignored their constituents (now infamously known as "The Cap and Tax 8 Traitors". I wonder if he knows how many people are furious about that vote.

If you believe that this is a real campaign ad, you are ignorant indeed. I am flabbergasted that anyone would fail to realize that this is a (humorous) piss-take on political advertisements.

..and I live in Federal Way, so know this ad was never aired anywhere. Shame on you for falling to their level, and airing false ads with false claims. You are not helping us with this, and hope Darcy wins without the use of this type of garbage.

although I am against him, this video is a disgraceful attempt to imply that this was an actual aired ad, rather than one made by his opponent to smear him. I only hope Darcy did not condone this ad, and noticed it was neither endorsed by her, or the democratic party. You have fallen to their level with this video.
