All kidding aside, this is among the top 10 of my favorite cars of all time. Of course, it'd be nice if it was a real 1999 STI, but hey, your motor is newer ;)

If you don't mind me asking? How much did the Ej257 swap cost you, did you swap the dash as well, did you end up with those weird gaps that people were talking about, and how many hundreds of thousands of hours did you spend on wiring?

4-5k for the car, 1.5-2k for the v.5 sti swap, another 1.5k for tuning and misc stuff. soo $7000 - $9000

then be prepared to fix all the stuff you break.

this isnt a GC8. The GC8 is the 2.0L turbo from japan. This is a GM6, all two door 2.5 rs's are gm6's

the only thing i would suggest is getting the sti tranny, and diffs. just a better over all drive train. but its actually a pretty cool idea. im so happy with my legacy. when i get my RS im either going Ez30, or Ej257. im not sure yet

Whoaa, dude. You're lucky. I'm getting my dads 1998 Subaru Impreza Brighton. And yes, it's awd. Not fwd, thats gay. I'm hoping to go to the junk yard and find an STi with an engine that still works and swap it out with the current EJ-18 in it.
