Global philanthropy is an emerging field with little documented precedent. The challenges and benefits of this important practice are discussed in a wide-ranging discussion of philanthropy in the developing world with panelists Paula D. Johnson, Vice President and Director of Global Philanthropy at the Philanthropic Initiative, Inc.; Professor John Hammock from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University; and Dr. Shamsh Kassim-Lakha, founder and chair of the Pakistan Center for Philanthropy. The event was moderated by Professor Adil Najam, Director of the Pardee Center, who conducted a lively question-and-answer session following the roundtable.
