I just started watching Star trek the next generation and by the gods, tasha Yar has to be one of the stupidest characters of the crew, EVERY sistuation they are put in she somehow inevitably makes it worse.
Though admittedly some of my favorite parts are when Picard Verbally owns her.

Wait, what the fuck.. I watched season 1 up to the point where Yar was killed. Then I watched the episode where she had a relationship with Data. HOW DOES SHE DO IT IF SHE'S DEAD!? Anyone got any answer? I must've missed something...

the whole tasha x data thing could have totally been explored more in later episodes. It would have been an interesting dynamic, with him being an android, it sucks SO hard that they killed her off
