  • Stitt is on form.

  • I love this album. I listen to it every day. All of the players get into the arrangements. This is my favorite song from For Musicians Only.

  • @decus69 fuck... 1 month and i'm back again?

  • Wow, 1 year later and I'm back!

  • amazing

  • FUCK YEAH

  • Stitt was indeed great, but sadly, he was almost the "Dwight Gooden of jazz"- his recordings were frequently not nearly as great as they could have been. But when he has it together (as he does on these dates) he was unbeatable.

BTW, the other song on this album side, the somewhat better, "Dark Eyes" was recently uploaded (bravo) but only about 2/3 of the song managed get on. (It says there is 9 minutes uploaded but it repeatedly cuts out b4 dizzy's solo gets going).

It's the aural equivalent of coitus interruptus- "sans eruptus" ..

  • Fooly & cooly...
