Of all the back up QB's we could have gotten in 1994, we got the one who makes Marino look like Fran Tarkenton.

Absolutely unbelievable pocket presence. Peyton is the only guy who comes close to the abilities Marino had in side-stepping the rush. You just can't teach that kind of awareness. 99% of QB's can't make a man miss without taking his eyes off his recievers. That's one thing that made Marino so great.

Marino was the best Quarterback . . . ever. Yes, he reminded me of Joe Namath, but I think he was even better then Namath. Great drop back passer. Dan was a great drop back passer that picked apart defensives, like nobody else ever did. The man ran a two minute drill like nobody else. Dan was the Man!

There was never a better QB at getting the ball from point A to point B in the shortest time possible. He will always be the best in my mind. It's a shame people blame him for not being able to play defense and not being able to play RB too.

Marino was the pocket moving quarterback ever. With his quick release and pocket presence, Marino was the hardest QB to sack. Duane Bickett of the Colts once told me at the YMCA in Glendale, California that "Marino was the hardest QB to get."
