Braces Update

PLEASE READ****
My braces are for jaw surgery, I'm having double jaw surgery and genioplasty. Right now I am having a lot of pain and headaches because of the alignment of my jaws, its becoming really hard to deal with.

Hi there sweetie.I think we have the same situation.I have braces for now but im also planing to have a jaw surgery after.just wondering how much does it all cost for your surgery?

@paulsalet HEy what would you jaw surgery be correcting. I live in Canada so the surgery is mostly covered by OHIP, I have to pay $3500 for surgery and then I had to pay full cost of the braces.

You're beautiful. I've had braces for a year as a 27 year old. How old are you? Braces are a long process and I'm afraid mine will take at least another year. Although they do look better I'm still a little self conscious about smiling. I'll subscribe to see how everything turns out with you!

@thielenm I'm 25 right now, I got the braces put on when I was 24. It looks like I'm going to have them until 26 since I still have at least a year to go with jaw surgery and everything. I know what you mean, the idea of having the braces never really leaves my mind but everyday I feel like I've gotten a little further through the process. Thanks a lot of the great compliment. people say it hurts when u get the braces tighten is this true?

@LILSHADOW25 No the actual tightening doesnt hurt at all. You will feel a lot of pressure a few hours afterwards and it will hurt to eat food for anywhere from a day to a week. It usually gets better the longer you've had the braces on.
