Whately School Committee Chair Nat Fortune details how he would balance the budget without cutting valued municipal services such as libraries by instead ending special tax giveaways to favored corporations and by rebalancing the income tax. In a follow up after the Q&A session with the Governor, Governor Deval Patrick told the press, "I wasn't trying to challenge them to come up with a solution, but I would like some suggestions on where else we should cut."
