This is the Greek composer Manos Hadjidakis (or Hatzidakis). He wrote fantastic classical music and even jazz! Most know him from his ''light'' music for Greek movies. He is world famous for the academy award for the music ''The boys of Pereus'' of the movie ''Never in Sunday'' with Melina Mercouri (directed by Jules Dassin). He never accepted that he was rewarded for a song and not for his classical music, and eventually he threw the oscar award to the garbage where his housekeeper found it!
