i thought a slab footing meant u didn't have to dig as deep, the depth on that looks like traditional foundation depth.
I also thought a slab was nearer the surface, a lot thinner and wider than the actual structure so that it floats above the ground as opposed to sitting on rock many metres below your soil/clay layers. im looking to build a small structure-1 story block/brick on clay and wanted to know if a foot of concrete with rebar and a metre extra around the structure would sink or swim?
how small are the bars... or mayb in australia we over kill it....
