@11theGOODFELLA He was supposed to be that way, do your research and check out the description of Melvin Purvis. Bale went around and spent days with the Purvis family to captivate the character. Depp was on screen for 2 hours and 20 minutes, this movie was all about how cool he was(Dillinger) Bale did perfectly, Depp was just doing his usual ego bullshit, go back to your pirate movies Depp girl.

It's weird how Agent Purvis remained passive when Dillinger was questioning Purvis' abilities and his character - however, a simple "I'll see you down the road" got to him and compelled him to threaten Dillinger by saying he'll be executed.

@xXDannyGeraldoXx my opinion, it should have been. The movie failed them both when they had the perfect capacity to echo that moment but instead it was done better between Heath Ledger and Christian Bale. Christopher Nolan was better at being Mann than the Mann himself. "up close toe to toe. I know what that's like" - lines like that beg at the question as to how its the same man who wrote, "I have one where I'm drowning. And I gotta wake myself up and start breathing or I'll die in my sleep."
