Jan Vozenilek visited an elementary school in the Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, where he lives, to teach children about plastic pollution. Jan brought with him some plastic objects recovered from the stomach of baby albatrosses. This footage was broadcast by the CHBC News channel for the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia, Canada, and posted on the internet on November 2nd, 2009.
i am one of the students with the orange shirt in the front and this was heart breaking i cant belive this and this was just not right for birds to die because of use and this was a real heart break but i think i am using less plastic and i dont even use plastic very much anymore because of this video he showed us and all the plastic bits that were in the birds and how many birds have died and all the peices of plastic that have killed all these birds but yeah this made me think about plastic .

Jan - thank you for informing us of this huge problem. I saw your presentation today at the Penticton Museum and it was so powerful (and gut-wrenching.) Good luck with your documentary - the world needs to see this.
