Star Wars - Lightsaber Demo for 100 Cub Scouts!

This was a free "Star Wars" style light saber demo that myself and an associate did in Sacramento for a group of cub scouts. Well, one-hundred of them... if that's a "group". :)

Hopefully more footage will be coming, as Yoda (Michael) and I individually worked with each and every cub scout to give them the full LED/lightsaber experience. When we started working with the kids, we didn't stop until we were done--which was something like an hour(?!!?)

Pretty exhausting, but a ton of fun... and we were glad to brighten a few kids' lives.

I like to mix it up with my music, and you'll find everything from Queen, Stan Bush and 80's stuff... to Chronotrigger re-mixes and even stuff from an old series of games called "Ys"... :)

That being said--you may also not be aware that your question begs the questions: What is the difference between "fighting" and "staged combat"? (and also:) Is "fighting" different from "sport combat"?

What is being shown in this video is about staged combat--not about moves made for fighting and/or sport combat/fencing...

Further... there is an ADDITIONAL difference between "fighting" and sport combat.

Are you using ultra sabers?

No and yes.

The saber I use (guy in black) was made by myself, and is running Crystal Focus (by Plecterlabs).

The saber "Yoda" uses here (guy in off-white) was made by Yoda, and is running Ultrasound (by Ultrasabers).

Is lightsaber fighting considered a respectable style now? Kind of like mixed martial arts?
