  • The ending is just incredible those scales she does in head and superhead are unlike any singer. This heffa knew her registers in her prime. Get it back Nippy!

  • Damn. Whitney & Mariah were BOTH amazing. You look up their work at their prime, no wonder these woman were considered flawless vocalists. Much respect to both of them.

  • You can not compare Mariah with Whitney Houston. That is like comparing apples and grapes. Whitneys has an incredible voice. Mariah can not touch Whitney.

  • @musicisunityandlove Wrong Whitney was sfagato soprano until 1999 and her range was mistaken like Maria callas. She had 4.5 to 5 octaves in her prime. Her range now is at least 3.5 octaves I would not be surprised if she has 4 now on her good days. She can go much lower and higher than we think.

  • Whitney was a spinto soprano in the 80's and became a mezzo in the 90's. Her range was 3.2 octaves

  • @musicisunityandlove Whitney is called a sfagato soprano, really unlimited range. She can do from controalto, to high coloratura soprano effortlessly in her prime. She can go higher than most sopranos could ever effortlessly and great tone. Sfagato soprano was Whitney in her prime now she is a mezzo coloratura soprano, but she has days where her range comes back!

  • Where are you BeDeLuDeD?

  • The woman can do amything with her voice! She is such a sprinto contralto soprano! Amazing 9 octave singer

  • 6:23 SUPER contralto! And also that little operatic whistle at 5:25

  • Whitney is a Master vocalist...she can do ANYTHING with her voice...WoW...An incredibe talent

  • Whitney was just incredible in those days!!!! and only so few people have watched this video..what a shame!

  • @bowiehs She was trained in opera thats why she can hit those notes, her mother had opera training as well. I also heard Leonytyne Price a very high soprano is related to her. Thats why I know on a down day her voice is well trained enough to sing, thats why I feel its the drugs and her lack of care for singing is causing the hoarseness. Even sick Whitney would hit her notes higher than studio recordings for years.
