@phlegmat ...as a rule, never ever use Wikipedia as a source because any one could post anything on the site. :) Now, to your interesting and lame point. Yes, Sharon's division army surrounded the third army but unfortunately they were also surrounded by a bunch of farmers, police and locals. The Israeli, as they always do, cried to the Americans to stop the Egyptians from bombing the Sharon division and accepted a cease fire. :). As always, they dug a hole and couldn't get out of it.

@phlegmat They still din´t have any chanse to take Cairo my frend. They lost at Suez, went around it to avoid it´s farmers, policeofficers and small force of soldiers. Egypt still had the power to fight on, Egypt had lost a 1/4 of it´ssupplies and weapons. Israel had lost about half of it´s army. Without the US, israel would be a memory. Unless they used Nukes

how convenient for you to think like that. if USSR and USA didn't prevent Israel from continuing, we would have reached to Cairo either.

@phlegmat AHAHAHAHHA CAIRO!?!?! Wow they did a great job in suez. They could not take suez that was guared by farmers, policeman and a hand full of soldiers. Love it when israelis ignore fact´s. What ? didn´t your father tell you about suez? How Israel got kicke´d out`? Yet you dream about Cairo that was 20times bigger
