thank you so much for taking in one of the Vick dogs! Leo is beautiful, and it enrages me that PETA wanted those dogs killed. I've been vegan for 9 years, and into animal rights for even longer, and PETA does NOT speak for me.

On the contrary, Endurance Pace. Leo gets requests by both staff and patients to visit the facility on a regular basis. Patients are ALWAYS given the opportunity to decline a visit from any therapy animal. To imply that Leo or any other therapy Pit Bull is foisted upon hapless patients & unwitting facilities is a great insult to both, and reveals your ignorance to the joy that therapy work brings to ALL participants. Perhaps when you reflect upon "sad things" it should be an introspective.

This is such a sweet breed of dogs that have been abused and used by the wrong kind of people - thugs who should be treated the same way. In the early 20th Century this breed was the American Family Dog on record, just like labradors are now. It's all about people and media focusing on only bad deeds by this breed while neglecting others.
