Hey I have a three-year old liteon (2008) do I still need the Connecticut kit or can I just power it with my xbox

@trueshotairsoft The kit is the best way to go but if you have an onboard via card and can power it from your pc you're good to go, however my tutorials are fore folks with the kits.

Even if you have sata ports in your pc the VIA card is the most compatible card for this type of project.

just wondering if you get the black cable that goes into the comp port ( if it comes with the connectivity kit and the external power supply is that the same as the xbox 360 ??

The black serial cable does come with the CK3 kit lite. The external power supply is something that i just recommend you buying. You cant use the x box 360's power supply when using the CK3 kit. Yes you can flash without it but it just makes things a lot more easier an opens the door to you flashing every type of drive.

I have the nforce sata chipset that worked for all the other types of xbox drives, but do i need the VIA for the liteon or can i still use the nforce? thnx.

i already bought my ck3 lite with probe and i forgot to ask you what firmware did you use

i already have LiteOn iXtreme_v1.61 which i downloaded from xbox 360 hacks website

and it comes with like 4 files do i put them all into the firmware folder for jungle flasher?????

hey man, thanks for the great videos! they're by far the best ones out there. believe me, i've spent hours looking. Yesterday i bought a connectivity kit and probe (not the brand name ones, but they're supposidly good) for about $35. Hopefully it works =p

What's your gamertag? I was wondering if i could add you and chat while i do the actual hookup and everything, just incase i have any problems. It's also nice to have a -decent- person added these days since they're so hard to find =p
