I'm a composition student at York University in Toronto, Canada.
As part of our course my class had our pieces sight read by professional players.
There are few mistakes and they did a great job.

  • Gawd this is great :) I hope you don't mind - I used this in my last video <3

  • This is OK; of the two pieces I've heard of yours (the other was the short piece for piano quintet) I do like this one better. Are your teachers encouraging you to stick to tonal music, or is that your own idea? It just seems a bit anachronistic to me, that in 2008 people would still be writing this way. Try doing something without a definable tonal center, maybe you'll enjoy it. At least the resulting music won't be quite as predictable.

  • this is an amazing piece of work.

  • Hey nice job with the counterpoint! Really beautiful textures, especially when the viola and cello have the melodies...

  • I like this better then your fairytale piece. Maybe stick to writing music for strings.

  • Brilliant.

  • AMAZING nuance! How long did it take u to write to whole thing? I idolize every REAL music composer on the Earth surface!

do u use a software to write music on computer? I use Sibelius but it crashes when I change to my new laptop :( (sux) so I'm like crippled now. Maybe I should stop relying on instant playback and use my senses more (and handwriting music too)

This is exactly what I want to do in college (which is next year), and my later life, but I dont if I have what it takes :(

  • I LOVE the cello parts! The cellist thats playing is fantastic!

  • quite nice

  • very nice. It's so neat with good twist.
