... its not really how it works, most of the time farmers built their farm on a wild land and now magically owns it even if the lions, wolves, etc was there way back before them. It may not seem important for a farmer to shoot one coyote or two but when you think of it as a large scale... they already caused extinctions. For ex. thylacines, since they are gone there is an over population of kangaroos, because they were the main predator... and now kangaroos are eating crops...

@xncosmo If these stupid farmers can afford poison then they can afford to get off their lazy ass's and build a fence. IT'S NOT HARD. Survival? Maybe if they were defending themselves with what God gave them (arms and legs) yes that's defence but this is not fair at all. This is not survival this is human showing how fu*ked in the head our species are how we can torture an animal using techonolgy. These Farmers should be eaten by lions. One on one with a Lion, no poison or weapons! THAT'S FAIR!

@gzmendez I'd like seeing you as one of those farmers having their livestock attacked and killed by lions. Everyone is defending it`s territory and humans too. If I knew that my farm is being attacked I`ll do anything to protect it against the attacker. You must protect animals only from irresponsable and needless killing or torture, other than is just surviving.

If not man made poison, It could also be distemper+ a parasite called bebesia. And yes, lions can get distemper! The combination of the disease+ the bebesia is deadly.
