now in the summer time...do they feed themselves or do you still feed them in the morning...and if you do feed in summer do you give them less?? thanks any info is appreciated

We have 5 chickens, they lay pretty much 5 eggs a day. They will kill for a meal worm but eat almost anything! They are an absolute joy and sooo easy to look after!

Don't you worry about rats when you throw food on the ground. Sorry i'm not blaming you but just curious. I have chickens and I always worry the food may bring rats.

You're chickens look very healthy... I'm going to give them some left over veggies
because I only give them just layer feed I'm actually starting them off with layer feed when there chicks my grand father told me to start them on layer feed from day one so they can do there thing.

my pet chickens are picky eaters. they don't eat dried cracked corns we bought at the feed store. I think I spoiled them by giving them too much blueberries and breads!
