This young man in Portland, Oregon got tired of police breaking the laws they are supposed to uphold, and acting as if they are above the law.
So he wrote a citizen's citation on a cop who parked in a no-parking zone. And now the cop has to show up in court!

@damagon123 If they're on duty they need to obey the laws as well. The only excuse that I can completely understand would be in an emergency situation, and that is it.

@toxicityrckr Doctors save lives ( I can assure you they've seen more men bleed to their death) and they still get parking tickets.
We can play this game all day, how about we just leave it at if you're not on duty, obey the laws?

@toxicityrckr i understand what you are saying,,,,but the laws are for all to follow,,,esp. cops,,,they are to lead by example,,,do you think if i had a very hectic day and did not get a chance to eat untill late and parked illegally and i told the cop this he would not write me a ticket ? he would say,,,sir,,,,i have to treat you like everyone else,,,the laws are for all,,,,and he would be correct.

@toxicityrckr a lot of people have stressful jobs. By the same logic we should be really nice to prostitutes because they work really hard giving fellatio all day. The police are supposed to enforce the law. How can they do that when they break it themselves. It is a slippery slope to say they can park wherever they want. What's next? They should be able to smoke crack on the job and shoot people in the face for cussing at them? Show support by giving cops a discount, not parking.
