This young man in Portland, Oregon got tired of police breaking the laws they are supposed to uphold, and acting as if they are above the law.

So he wrote a citizen's citation on a cop who parked in a no-parking zone. And now the cop has to show up in court!

@toxicityrckr a lot of people have stressful jobs. By the same logic we should be really nice to prostitutes because they work really hard giving fellatio all day. The police are supposed to enforce the law. How can they do that when they break it themselves. It is a slippery slope to say they can park wherever they want. What's next? They should be able to smoke crack on the job and shoot people in the face for cussing at them? Show support by giving cops a discount, not parking.

yea i dont hate cops as people but i cannot stand the hipocracy that goes on. they can go around in the cruiser and break every law out there. but something ridiculous they pull us over for.

Police officers are meant to be seen as model citizens, especially where it pertains to their conduct where citations/fines are a possible outcome (parking violations). Misconduct in this area erodes that image and leads to less respect and cooperation from civilians. The rules are for everybody.

@toxicityrckr trust me they have plenty of time to eat. my buddy is a patrol officer and he said in his shift he gets about 8 calls and most of them are dumb traffic problems. Most officers probably never get real action execpt the big city officers.

Leave police officers alone people! When soldiers come back from war they are treated as heroes. When officers come home, after being shot/punched/kicked at, after watching a man bleed to death, after working long hours without a break because it was a busy night, they get nothing. They SHOULD be given some leniency when they are off duty. I'm not saying get away with murder, but let the guy get some food real quick.I bet he hasn't eaten for hours.
