I'm working on a fan project inspired by Mystery Science Theater 3000.
As practice, I riffed this public-domain cartoon.

Little known fact about lasers, if you block the bit the laser comes from, it will explode. Also, if someone shoots a death ray at you, just punch it it will get tired and go find something else to point at.
