While we were in Philly this Christmas we visited the Please Touch Museum again . . . but this time it's been recreated in one of the buildings from the 1876 World Fair held in Philadelphia. This carousel was also built then and eventually completely refurbished to come back to it's original home. Look closesly at the animals on the carousel -- there are mostly horses, of course, but there are also faniciful rabbits, cats, goats and boars.

  • This carousel was built between 1902-1908 and operated at Woodside Park in Philadelphia. It was not built in 1876.
