They're aren't any cracks, it's just a square room. And if they got themselves under my stuff they'd come out real quick if thye hear I have a bag of treats :)

I'd take rats over hamsters any day, dude! Hamsters are mean, territorial and dumber n' dirt. Domestic pet rats are really clean, really super smart (you should see the things mine do to get things they want!), very cuddly and social and DISEASE FREE. I always get bit by hamsters; never once been bitten by a rat. ^.^

@renegss I trained my rats to crap in a litter box. What I did was move their droppings into the box and they caught on quite quickly. If that doesn't work try moving the box into the corner where they crap the most.

I always just let mine roam, One of my is like a little dog, when ever he is out he just runs and lays in your lap.
