Warming up or breaking down? Part four

EPONA.tv continues to question the training practices in professional equestrian sport. In the next couple of days we put forward more footage of international riders preparing their horses for competition, showing that rollkur is only part of a larger issue. Horses are routinely subjected to relentless pressure from inconsistently applied aids, forced into extreme positions and pushed beyond their physical and mental capacity.

Nothing of that can be considered as warming-up. NOTHING.

And selfish, egoistic, foolish sawing on the horse's mouth EXCEPTIONALLY with the aim to have pleasure of RULING and FULLY controlling the horse like that can be nothing more than an action putting this person into monkeys range.

@ markcI watched your video and the Med. walk on your horse is at best a 5=maginal.

The Med walk the horse must be 4 beat marching gait where the hind foot steps into or better yet past the front foot fall. Your horse dosen't meet that and in fact often becomes rather short and lateral.

So I find it interesting that you are such an expert.

Well if you have to use this kind of means - tiedowns, drawreins, etc. and pulling your horse in the mouth like this, OBVIOUSLY you don't have any idea WHAT you're doing, and you have absolutely NO business on that horse's back.

If you are the owner, clearly you don't love your horse and/or you're in it for the money and prestige.

If you're not the owner. clearly you don't love your horse to let this rider torture your horse like that and/or you're in it for the love of money, not horses.
